OUR STORY Michael and Linda Gonzalez were teachers at St. Vincent de Paul High School in Petaluma. Linda's love of art prompted them to open their home for special art events which featured Linda's art as well as the work of several friends. After a few years, they took the plunge and established a small art gallery in the basement of a quaint old Victorian home around the corner from the current gallery. Not long after their move to the "basement", their landlord offered them a space in a brand new building which would be designed to suit their needs. The Gallery has been been doing business in this 1800 square foot building since 1992. As the business grew, Linda retired from teaching and quickly became known as the "Gallery Lady" around town. From the very beginning Linda & Michael decided to feature fine art paintings of their friends. The number of their artist friends has increased including artists and artisans who have national and international recognition. They have chosen to focus exclusively on North American fine art and fine handcraft. When Michael retired, his attention also turned full-time to the gallery where he and Linda worked side by side to develop a gallery that you can trust for the quality and variety of work for all occasions at a great price.. Linda passed away in 2009,but Michael continues the traditions they established from the beginning: quality North American art in an appropriate, friendly environment.
